Paris Hilton: The True Definition of Over Rated....

I don't get it folks. I simply do not nor do I think I ever will get it.
What has this women done thats so great?
What has she done that has made her the focus of the medias eye?
The Answer is nothing. She has done absolutely nothing. But because mommy and daddy have some money. And she made a porn movie, America paid attention. And we have put her on this pedestal, with all the other greats like Anna Nicole, Lindsey Lohan, and Nicole Ritchey, all of which may I add have contributed so much to society.

They give us our daily fix of gossip, I believe to some extent they help us to feel better about ourselves. They give us the opportunity to sit back and go I'm glad I'm not her, I'm glad I didn't make those decisions.
These girls, are in the public eye for all the wrong reasons, there not like Oprah, who's a true role model, and a great humanitarian, there alcoholics, they're drug addicts, and they suffer from eating disorders (though in their defense they claim they don't). As a parent, Which I'm not so I'm asking all those parents out there, Do you want your young daughters to sit there and watch these girls and go "mommy I want to be like that" "I want to be 20 years old and in rehab for alcohol abuse". We all make mistakes, no ones perfect. But folks if we quit buying into them, quit paying them any attention, maybe they'll grow up. Maybe they can make something of themselves, Contribute something to society. Paris Hilton is Kinda of the unspoken leader of this new era of party girls, And what has she done for the world? she showed us that making a porn video and getting paid to party gets you front page of magazine and makes you headline in the news. It dumbfounds me, I don't know when people are gonna start to see the light, will the media ever get its priorities straight?
