To return to myself is a dream.
Like the poverty stricken wishing to win a lottery.
I have to get use to "normal" being.
My heart longs for, like a lost lover,
The days all a shade brighter.
I awoke with energy as the sun has light.
I had one life. I was going live it fully.
My life once overflowed with hopes and dreams.
Now days are "normal"
Dim, boring, drab and flat.
One wouldn't think it could change
A person
Much.
It does.
Your world full of light.
Your heart full of joy
Happiness, gratitude.
You're told the light was
An illusion.
Your happiness
Fake.
You're asked about
Bi-polar and Cyclothymia?
Return to myself ?
Can I recreate me?.
Into one who finds happiness other
Than in my child's face.
Can I find joy in living?
Without needing practice?
Without taking a class?
It once came so easily.
Will I forget "that" me?
Can one forget the best time
In their life?
Very rare. Unless amnesia.
I will never forget.
Do I fake it?
Till I make it?
That maybe answer.
Psychology wants your
true feelings
Next, it wants pretend feelings.

It Was I
He looked past me thinking, "One better may come after."
Yet it was I, who brought him to laughter.
When
As a little girl, I was sent to church
Each and every week
To learn to recite prayers that held no meaning for me
And so I

I fell in love with you.
I wasn't supposed to.
Nothing was right about it,
not the right time
or the right place

In public you hold my hand;
