Poetry: Insanity

by keisi j

Created on: March 29, 2010

Half of a lemon, less every hour

Sour and pale, pretending through life

Nowhere belonging, black-petaled flower

Stretching in vain, begging for sight

Inside of a clock, a cog for a wheel

Peel full of holes, cast out by the rest

Nowhere belonging, soft-sided steel

relinquishing honor, making a mess

Test all the liquids, paint the blue rug

Bugs crawl around me and rage comes up

One coffee mug, one sip of rust

One silent day is never enough

I try to escape but I can’t get gone

Here on the border

in front of the house on the lawn

i was going through a wall

but i got stuck in the sheetrock

i bleed on the sidewalk

and sell it as artwork

brilliant and magic

passionate rush

if only they knew..

but no just hush
