Skipping a great way to get a good workout. If you want to be a lean, mean fighting machine, then take up skipping and watch yourself get fit. Looking fit is one thing, being fit is another.
Losing weight and staying in shape can be done with skipping alone. Look at it this way. Do you see animals such as the cheetah doing the bench press and lifting dumbbells? Well, unless you have a vivid imagination then you might be able to. In reality, animals don't require heaps of expensive equipment to stay fit. So what are animals doing that we aren't. They are staying active, where as we aren't. By staying active we can get a great workout and stay fit.
Skipping which involves us hopping and skipping is a high impact activity. Skipping is also known by skipping with a rope where we jump up and down and spin a rope around our bodies. I love to think of skipping as jumping rope. If we jump rope, we can train our agility, power, speed, reflexes and coordination. Jumping rope helps us in many different ways and especially in weight loss.
The amount of calories that you can burn during a 5 minute session, can easily reach 100 calories or more. Skipping is a high intensity activity and it uses up a lot of your energy in a short amount of time. I recommend that people skip for 4 sets of 5 minutes 3 times a week. You get a break of a day after each time so don't feel that you have to put in 20 minutes everyday of your life.
Losing weight doesn't have to be expensive and it certainly doesn't require you spending time at the gym doing all sorts of activities. Remember to stretch out before and after exercising. Stick with skipping for 20 minutes a day for 3 days a week and try doing it for 3 months. Remember to eat healthy and don't over eat. Eat a little bit before skipping and remember to drink plenty of water. Skipping can take a lot out of the body so take it slow and easy at first. As you improve, step up your game and skip faster.
Looking great and staying fit can be easy. Getting good workouts with skipping is just as easy. Set your goals and try to achieve them within your time limit. The power is in your hands.
