Cold winds whistling, love once lost,
hopes and aspirations, waltzing with the frost,
leaves that fall so freely, hiding for a season,
snowflakes gently kiss the ground, giving me the reason,
to wrap myself so warmly, within the fire of your eyes,
and cherish every steamy breath, beneath these eastern skies,
where ice and snow are forming, upon the frozen earth,
with whispers of our future joy, longing to be birthed,
the tunes that share that message, and speak of winter blue,
now framing every single day, that my heart aches for you.
