How to burn fat

So you want to lose some fat?  Appearance isn't everything.  For some of us, being tubby is not an option.  There are a million fly by night programs for burning fat.  Pills for quick weight loss are sold at every store.  Why use pills or television diet programs if you can burn fat yourself?  Here are my secrets for burning fat:

Fat Free Foods

Go to the grocery store and start buying only fat free food.  I look at the nutrition facts and look for the overall fat content.  If a food product has more than two grams of fat per serving, I don't buy it.  Purchase all of the foods you normally consume.  All of the foods you like to eat have a low fat or fat free version.  The only one that is hard to find without fat is peanut butter.  I only purchase meat that has a nutrition facts sticker on it.  You will spend a considerable amount of time reading nutrition labels, but it will be worth it. 

Diet

Now that you have all your fat free foods, you need to start your diet.  Eat normal meals like you have in the past.  I try to consume only 30 grams of fat a day for the first four weeks of your diet.  Depriving yourself of all fat in your body is not good for you.  You can eat as much as you want as long as you are consuming fat free foods.  After the first four weeks of your diet, cut down your daily fat intake to 20 grams of fat per day for the next four weeks.  After that four week cycle is complete, cut your daily fat intake to 10 grams of fat per day.   This diet requires a lot of discipline, but there are a lot of good fat free products on the market that taste good.

Exercise

No real diet is absent of exercise.  Don't get discouraged.  You don't have to be a professional athlete with my program.  Buy a treadmill or start walking.  Once you graduate from walking, start running short distances.  Push-ups and sit-ups won't hurt either.  Try jumping rope or the using the Wii Fit.  Your body is going to start burning the fat on your body, because you are not consuming the fat that your body would burn normally.

Always talk to your physician before starting a new diet and exercise regimen.  Good luck with my program and hopefully you will become more lean and healthy.
