To be Tea Party Patriots means the awakening of the American people to a government that has grown steadily more corrupt over the years. It is the people who have discovered that Freedom is anything but free, as they see businesses taken over by government instead of being allowed to grow, prosper, or fail on their own.
It is watching misnamed 'bailouts' encumber and humble American businesses as corporations, financial institutions, and most recently, health care bow under mountains of restrictions and taxes that will do little more than turn our country into the same as our European brothers and sisters.
It is remembering why we broke free initially from England and being appalled when our leaders, after over two hundred years, want to push us backward in time.
It is people realizing that more and more we are governed by the radicals and the militants among us. It is finding tax evaders in charge of the IRS and the Ethics Committee, and striving to get rid of them.
It is anger, not violence, at knowing Congress and our President hear our voices and ignore them, because they have decided advancing power is more important than the will of the people. It is hearing our President brag about trampling our rights underfoot.
It is the coming together of Republicans, Democrats, and Independents for the first time in many years, to strengthen our country's voice until it can no longer be denied by those who turn a jaded eye toward the freedoms in our Bill of Rights and Constitution.
It is a union of agreement that triumphs over disagreements and links Americans of all races, creeds, colors and political persuasions as a growing, driving force with which the leaders will be forced to reckon.
Tea Party Patriots promote the use of civil means to promote change. They abhor violence from their members or those they oppose.
Tea Party Patriots present America at her best; a true melting pot of ideas that pushes aside the enmity of political and racial hatred that those, who should be leading, thrust upon the people.
In looking at the Tea Party Patriots, the question arises - why have our Federal Officials decided the voice of the people means nothing in America? How far will the people be pushed before yet another revolution tears our country apart in the race to save freedom?
