Indoor, outdoor, on a baseball field, at a botanical garden, an opera theatre, a museum, a winery, a golf course, a hotel, a mansion, a horse park or a restaurant, there is always somewhere to get married in Atlanta during the summer. Outdoor venues know how to accommodate for extreme heat if necessary. The Atlanta Weddings special feature of Atlanta Magazine contains an extensive list of Atlanta wedding event sites.

755 Club – Turner Field

The Atlanta Braves baseball team is the not the only draw to Turner Field. The "Field of Dreams" wedding includes pictures taken on the baseball field, big screen custom messages and personalized menus. Ceremonies can also take place in the club overlooking the city skyline and baseball field. The “Home Plate” wedding ceremony is another option.

Atlanta Botanical Garden

In 2010 as part of a two phase expansion, three new event spaces were unveiled, the Edible Garden with the outdoor kitchen, the Canopy Walk high in the Storza Woods treetops and the Cascades Garden complete with a waterfall. The Atlanta Journal newspaper readers voted the Atlanta Botanical Garden the “Best Place to Say I Do”.

The Atlanta Event Center at Opera

The recently renovated Opera House’s focal point is the large two-tired stage and when rented for a wedding use of the balcony and mezzanine are included. The multi-media capabilities and lighting are state of the art. Weddings can also take place at the Venetian Room or The Patio featuring an outdoor courtyard. The Venetian Room and The Patio have separate bars and restrooms.

Atlanta National Golf Club

Tucked away just north of downtown Atlanta this venue offers accommodations as well. Ceremonies can be held in the Masters Ballroom or the Terrace Room with golf course views. The service at the golf club has been rated five stars.

Chastain Horse Park

Located in the metropolitan area of Buckhead is the non-profit therapeutic equestrian center the Chastain Horse Park. The “Banquet Room” upstairs and the “Garden Room” downstairs are both event venues. There is an outside balcony overlooking the riding rink of both venue levels.

Big Canoe/Big Canoe Chapel

Big Canoe is a gated resort style self contained residential community in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Chapel and The Chimneys are available for weddings and The Chimneys has a stone patio surrounded by cherry trees and a pristine lake. Temperatures are at least five degrees lower than in the city.
