Easter is a colorful, magical, joyous time of year. Our senses are awakened from  the long cold winter to the birth of spring, the anticipation  of  the delicious sweet taste of Chocolate Bunnies, Malted, pastel colored eggs, and bright yellow Marshmallow Easter chickens.

The sight of all the delicious Easter confections nestled among the green cellophane grass in the Easter basket is a enough to tempt anyone's  pallet.

Easter  candy comes in many different sizes, styles, shapes, and grades as well as varieties to adapt to any budget that you may have to purchase your treats.

There are also many how to recipes on-line and in food magazines on how to make your own homemade Easter treats to fill those Easter baskets.

The best candy to put in your Easter baskets is based on many factor's suited to your budget, personality, age of the recipient,as well as their personal tastes and health factors.

There are many different grades of chocolate eggs, bunnies, and  other Easter themed candy that can be expensive. These are usually purchased at higher end candy stores or on-line. Some of   these may be imported chocolate such as Belgian, Swiss, and Dutch chocolate. These may be simple to very elegant in design.

Well known candy companies that have stores in shopping centers, also make their own candy using high grade chocolate rightin their own kitchen. Every thing's sold to you fresh and delicious right from the premises. There is no transporting the candy.

This higher priced candy is best for adults and  those loved ones such as friends and relatives whom you want to have the very best.

The next option is candy that is sold at discount  stores and grocery stores. Jellybeans, malted eggs and marsh mellow chickens and bunnies ,as well as hollow chocolate confections. These are perfect for children and others who you would like to surprise with a basket while giving good quality but not spending a small fortune.

If you are sending Easter treats to Military overseas, it is best  not to send chocolate as it will melt. Hard candies are best suited for long distance travel to The  troops and others that long distance.

Very young children should not have any small hard round candies in their baskets as it could be a choking hazard  Big, easy to chew candy is best suited for toddlers and preschool age children as well as the very elderly who may have  chewing problems.

As you see, the best candy for the Easter Basket you are making is based on the physical factors and the intmate details of the person you are giving it to.
