Computer evolution and future

As we all know computers are a part of our every day life, for school, work, and extra curricular activities. Some of us no longer even have to go to the library itself anymore because we can just get on our computer and get the e-book from the libraries website. Some use theirs to play the latest in video games, others for creating various projects, and others just use them as a storage device. With all of the applications and things that we have for computers and with their useful applications in today’s society what is there that can be done to improve upon these magnificent machines?

For one we can be looking at more improvements in robotic technologies where they will take over the jobs that are unsafe for mankind. It is expected that they will eventually spread into the actual spaceflight and not just and machines like the Mars Rovers that traverse the surface of other worlds gather information. Robotics reduces the cost of services that we receive today to a fraction of today’s price and with robotic technology advancements we can look forward to more of these sorts of service price reductions.

Other advancements include that of nanotechnology, which can be found in things like stain resistant clothing and suntan lotions. It is unclear as to what specific upgrades in this field of computers will include but it is quite likely that this particular field will become one of the most active in future computing. It is quite likely that personal computers will become so small that they can not be seen by the unaided eye and will be worn someone on the users body, say built into their glasses or some other article of clothing or jewelry. It might even turn out that these small computers are embedded into our bodies interfacing with various parts and having a learning curve that allows them to eventually think like us and perhaps making some of our decisions for us, though there may be good and bad consequences that stem from that.

With these sorts of upgrades in computer upgrades one can only imagine what computers will eventually look like since they are ever changing in size and shape. Not to mention what it is that this technology can do, seeing how there is always something new being developed. It will be quite interesting to see just how these technologies change over time in our future.
