A perfect Day.
This story is dedicated to my professor.
A perfect day to start. I had my much awaited interview today and got up a little earlier than usual to give myself some time to think back and relax. I could not take any chances and I was all set to get this right. I chose a complete black outfit to wear, purely professional; I think black colour can make you look quite confident sometimes. I rubbed off my white nail paint so as to deter them from distracting. I guess that doesn’t make me a hypocrite, if I get this job I will never put on that mail paint, anyways it doesn’t suit my personality. As for the shoes I always have a doubt, which one would be best, I chose the one I wear regularly and started off, but then a tiny thread peeping from one of my shoes grabbed my attention and forced me back to change. I picked up the most stylish one, which I had not worn since last six months or so, and I thought it would match my suit perfectly.
I walked down the road hoping to catch a bus as soon as I could but I was still under the early morning spell and was not rushing at all. I had enough time with me till now…and then suddenly I felt something soft and crunchy beneath my ankles; I did not dare to look down for sometime and thought I will see once I get down. I reached the interchange where I saw what it was…my shoes were breaking like pieces of cake, if ever there could be a black cake. I calmed myself, perhaps God wanted to take a practical test before my interview but I felt it wasn’t fair to give a surprise test at this hour when I was already trying hard to be confident and more important look confident. To add to my delight the shops were not open yet except for the pharmacy and food stalls, whenever I was hungry on the go I could never find a grub place quickly and I used to curse those shoe shops, why did they have to open so many, after all we only have two feet and a pair can last at least a couple of months but we have to eat three meals a day. So the shops should stand in the same proportion, thirty food stalls at least for one shoe shop. At other times when I left or lost my sunglasses, I used to think why don’t people care for their eyes, the customers have a dire need for good eye protection as they are the window to the world, all these jewellery shops, fashion outlets are useless if people can’t see them and how can they see them when they have burning and watery eyes. So every cloth store should
