Trapped At Sea
Like a frumpy peach
baking in the afternoon sun
you lie on the deck of your catboat
reading the latest jeremiad
about the grace of citizenship
From the horizons come
a familiar idol of fear and terror
a reprehensible frightening jamboree
as dozens of dorsal fins approach
a telling sign of danger for sure
A hyperbole of screams expelled
as if undergoing catheterization
ankles quiver, about to buckle
as the boat is surrounded
terrors from the deep blue sea
Feeling like marsupial prey
you survey the water with apprehension
a simple day sailing turned quite sour
lacking qualifications for a solution
how are you going to get out of this?

The Box
Trapped in this box,
With a wheelless car.
Trapped in this box,
With a shattered star.
Trapped in this box,
It seems awfully
TRAPPED
Something is here,
inside me screaming,
its been awakened,
a hungry demon.
Realizing how alone it can be,

That I don't know where to go
My heart is torn in two
And no, it's not because of you
I'm trapped
This cage, no one can see but me
Locks me in and pins me down
Its razor sharp steel bars run me though
Though my heart.
Everyone
When we were together, I felt like I was trapped
I worked so hard to hide it, all my strength was sapped
Slowly, I felt myself
