The Body Shop produces a range of body butters in a variety of different scents and ingredients for all skin types. This particular review is about The Body Shop’s Almond Body butter which is aimed at those for normal to dry skin.
The Body Shop’s body butters are available in two different tubs, the sizes and prices are as follows: 50ml for £5.00 and 200ml for £12.00, which makes the bigger one much better value for money.
The tub is of the colour beige and as like all their other body butters, has the stick places on the top with a picture of almonds, the name and the skin type. The tub also has some more information on the back and under the tab in many differently languages which is great for many others.
The smell of the almond body butter is unsurprisingly; extremely nutty which is the main scent; however the undertone is slightly sweet. Hence, not many individuals may like the smell of this particular body butter.
The consistency of The Body Shop’s almond body butter is very smooth, thick and luxurious. It does apply onto the skin very well. This body butter really soaks in well onto the skin making it softer and hydrating it intensely, you can feel your skin being well looked after when applied.
After you apply it, the nutty scent does fade away and all you smell is a sweet scent which is very pleasant. Also, unlike some other body butters it does not leave the skin very shiny which means you can also apply it to your hands without them looking greasy.
The moisture of the almond body butter lasts for a long time, you can apply it in the morning and you do feel that your skin is protected and hydrated during the day.
The price of the body butter is quite expensive when compared to other brands available on the market. However, The Body Shop does many sales which they hold annually which means that you can get specific body butters for a heavily discounted price. However, you have to be quick as they run out extremely fast especially on their website.
4/5 – The Body Shop’s almond body butter moisturises the skin very well protecting through the day, however the price is quite high when compared to other brands. Furthermore, many may find the smell off putting as it is extremely nutty.
