Comparing TNA and WWE wrestling

Move over WWE because, once again, you have major competition. This time it is TNA, Total Nonstop Action. We once again are witnessing the “Monday Night Wars” as TNA has move their iMPACT! weekly show to Monday nights on Spike TV. If there ever was a question which was better, WWE or TNA, then now is that time to be asking questions.

First off I am going to point out things that TNA has over WWE. First off it is the X division. These guys are totally unbelievable and do stuff that you never knew someone could do with their body. There matches don't have one boring moment in them and they keep you on the edge of your seat. Another thing TNA has over WWE is their TV rating. WWE likes to keep their product at a PG rating so they can attract a younger audience. This has driven me crazy. What ever happened to drinking beer and giving your boss the middle finger? What ever happened to beating your opponent so bad that he is laying in a puddle of his own blood. Well you won't see that in WWE but you can see that in TNA. TNA has some of the best wrestling around and also some of the best hardcore, blood soaking action that we all like to see from time to time. On TNA you can still order a PPV and see a barbwire match or bloody steel cage match. If you order a WWE PPV you will most likely see John Cena vs. Batista for the tenth time. Blah! Screw John Cena! Why would you want to watch Cena vs. Batista for the tenth time when you can watch AJ Styles vs. Kurt Angle or you can watch Abyss tear someones face off in a barbwire match?

So we pointed out some things that TNA has over WWE, now we are going to point out the things WWE has over TNA which might not be as long. Well first of all WWE has history over TNA. WWE has been around for decades. History is what will keep viewers coming around. I think its funny that when someone refers to pro wrestling they say “WWF.” That just goes to show you how much people care for WWE these days. The next thing WWE has over TNA is the crowds. The crowds are larger and more people are willing to pay more money to come see WWE. TNA allows fans to enter their shows at Universal Studios for free. However, it is hard to get into one of those shows unless you show up early as I was turned away at the gate. WWE has bigger arenas and is more packed. Also you most likely won't see millions and millions of people tune into a TNA PPV (even though they are cheaper) like what will happen at this weekend's Wrestlemania 26. Also WWE has some household superstars. Shawn Micheals, Triple H, The Undertaker, and John Cena (BLAH!) are household names that will draw people to their product. TNA does now have Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair but really what are they going to do that they didn't ever do in their one thousand years before? But then again why do people want to continue tuning in and watch Cena do and same the same damn thing? AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, Abyss, Mr. Anderson, Sting, and a few other TNA superstars should, in time, become household names.

So now for my answer on what product is better. Drum roll please.... TNA, Total Nonstop Action. On Monday nights at 9pm I don't tune my TV to the USA network first but I type in the channel number for SPIKE TV. I do admit I flip back and forth but I mostly keep my TV tuned to TNA. I am 20 years old and I am sick of seeing John Cena (BLAHH!) and Batista wrestle night in and night out. So I wish the best of luck to TNA and I hope they are here to stay as we do need more than one main stream wrestling promotion.
