Ways to have a productive summer vacation

Summer!  Whoo Hoo!  This has always been the time of year that everyone associates with fun and vacation.  Summer is the time we take a little time to enjoy life .  No matter your age, location or financial situation you want to have that special time of letting time pass as you indulge yourself and get away from the day to day aspects of living.

We are basically raised to believe that summer is "Our" time to do as we wish.   You have gone to school most of the year but for that couple of months during the summer you burst out from studies and responsibilities of school to take on your own personal desires.  Summer meant different things to each of us; some  took  this time to take a summer job and earn a little extra money and for others it was simply time to freely enjoy life with no alarm clock or schedules.

The habits formed over the years of your youth remain with you throughout your adult life .Summer is approaching and you find yourself feeling the old pangs of excitement when school was out for the summer.  Times may be slim economically but the pleasure you feel with the coming of summer is not diminished.  Summer is the time when you will take a little time for yourself and put responsibilities aside for a week or two.

Enjoying summer is simple and requires no money or fuss.  You take this time of the year to simply enjoy the freedom of time.  You will for a short time not worry about an alarm clock, a boss, a business, etc. etc..   Economy may prevent you from taking that cruise, visiting a large city of choice, going outside the country or whatever you would have chosen to do.  The pleasure of freedom you experience in the summer when you opt to take that vacation from realities of life and all the day to day worries is yours.

You may not have much money but remember the joy of summer when you were a child.  Take the joy to your back yard to create your own fantasy summer.  Summer isn't about where or what you're doing but about the pleasure of experiencing a feeling of youth and freedom.  Take time to recall what summer meant to you as a kid and put that joy back into your life for this time.  Take time to reflect, enjoy and be thankful.  It's your time to stop and smell the roses.    You can sleep late or get up early; the idea is that for this period of time, it's your choice.

Summer is the time after a long winter and after a spring where the flowers have bloomed leaving you with lots of sunshine and surrounded by beauty's of nature.  You need this time to prepare yourself for a new season in life.  Take the summer to renew your energy and strength, to relax, to love and to appreciate life.   Each season brings a new adventure in life but Summer  has always been the time to push out your chest, breathe deeply and feel a sense of joy in living.  Take my advice and go out and just enjoy living this summer and be stronger for the freedom this joy gives you.  The enjoyment you gain from your time will give you strength to return to the realities and pressures of every day life.

So, don't worry about big plans, trips, etc. but recall the exhiliration of youthful excitement of just having some "Me Time".  Take your summer vacation with the spirit that only freedom inspires.   Have a great summer.
