What to do when you're all blogged out

It happens to the most aggressive bloggers - they go to post one day and they just cannot find anything worth blogging about. But, there are a number of options available to you when you are all blogged out. Here are some of them:

Invite guest bloggers - Before you run into trouble, put out some feelers for guest bloggers. You can do this by using Twitter, or by visiting other blogs that have similar content to yours. Guest bloggers will allow you to take a "breather" from blogging one or more days.

Use RSS feeds - RSS feeds provide a great opportunity to not only fill in on a day when you are just all blogged out but they have other benefits as well. Using an RSS feed on a single blog post means that particular post will get constantly updated and is likely to be indexed a number of times because of that.  RSS feeds are not difficult to set up, simply read the instructions for your blog host to find out how to implement them.

Use article widgets - Article sites such as Helium have hundreds of article titles available. Regardless of the type of blog that you maintain, chances are very good that you can find articles that are relevant to your sites overall content.  Use article widgets in place of a blog post to provide fresh, relevant content.  Remember, the first article in the category will be reflected in the widget.

Conduct a survey - You can easily set up a survey on your blog using free survey options.  Place a deadline on your survey and announce that you will post the results on a certain date. Use Twitter and other social networking sites to drive participation in your survey. This can buy you some time when you are all blogged out.

Incorporate PLR Articles - Take a look around the internet and see if you can find some PLR articles that are able to be reprinted without restrictions. While you may need to do some editing, it is certainly more time effective and less stressful than trying to come up with a fresh blog post.

Consider recycling - If you are all blogged out another option is to look back at some of your old blog posts and republish them with a new date.  This is especially helpful if you have been blogging a long time and your older content is getting overlooked.

There are just some times when you cannot think of anything to say in your blog. When you are all blogged out, you can use these helpful hints to help ensure that your blog gets relevant content while you take a break from blogging.
