Oh I wish I’d find someone,
To shelter me from the storm.
To whisper I love you,
Ev-e-ry morn.
I wish I’d find someone,
To be patient with me.
To treat me so tenderly,
Cause my heart needs a glove.
Someone to shield me,
From the raging winds.
To touch me so lightly,
Like a gentle wind.
Come blow me a kiss,
From so far away.
Mouth “I love you!”
“I’m here to stay”.
Oh! send me a look,
That would make me swoon.
And yearn for your love,
By the light of the moon.
I wish you’d be the one,
The one of whom I dream.
My gentle lover,
My knight in shining armor,
My husband, my friend.
