Al Roker, Summon Your Own Voice
How dare you; the NERVE you say.
I got on tv fairly; it was and still is my big day.
You stepped on me- my oh my I'm a footstool,
a footprint marks the hurt.
Like a footprint under a tent, it's just a temporary cover.
So don't go to the trouble of acknowledging the hurt.
It's the core of you and your friends big chill.
Is the footprint on my back so you can see higher
or is it lower to support your weakness, your impotent desires.
Is the dent on my brain so you can misstate the logic of the pain.
Don't you see the pain moves around because you're actually in need-
you need my whole body to walk even one path.
Without my dented body you couldn't even try, the words wouldn't form-
not even the absurd and ready laugh.
Your voice comes from my abundance and my misery comes from your choices.
I dare you to summon your own voices.
From which one of your VICIOUS ATTACKS on me did you find your true voice?

Poetry: I dare you
I dare you to be
A man, smart and free
To be all that's good
In everything, you should
To face adversity, with
by Carol Gioia
I dare you to pursue your dreams,
pushing the limits until
your heart bursts at the seams.
I dare you to get involved, genuinely
I dare you to love me
to give your all
to never look back
and never fear the fall
I dare you to lose
the attitude you portray
by Rob E
I dare you to find
A man of like mind
And talk of ways
To better our days
I double-dare you to find
I dare you to care
For folks
Daddy said someone took mommy away
And he cried with my brother and me
Hoping she would come home any day
And wanting things
