Poetry: After the fall

by Tanya Bainbridge

Created on: March 23, 2010

Can I pick myself up after you're gone?

Can I make my broken heart strong?

Can I heal the wounds that are deep inside?

Can I cover up the pain that I try so hard to hide?

Will it all be alright after the fall?

Yes it will, I can stand very tall.

I can mend my heart, the one you broke

I can get over the harsh words you spoke.

I am independent , courageous and bold

You will always be selfish, heartless and cold.

It's time to grow up and face this call

I will be fine after the fall.
