People ask me why do I enjoy professional wrestling so much, why did I actually decide to become a professional wrestler? Well I am here to answer all of there questions now.
I started watching wrestling back in 1998 when I was 8 years old. I was sold when I saw the Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kane and all them guys live and in person. I was amazed with the things that they did with their bodies. I was amazed with how they went out and beat each other up in front of millions of people.
Now we are back in 2010. I am now 20 years old and I have been wrestling on the independent circuit for a little over a year now. I don't enjoy the wrestling on WWE as much as I used to but TNA has attracted a lot of my attention. The X Division in TNA is something totally unbelievable to me. For me, I think TNA is way better than WWE. I mean, come on, John Cena is a total piece of garbage. He goes out wearing a t-shirt and jean shorts, he can't wrestle worth crap, and his promos are a total rip off of The Rock.
I enjoy professional wrestling more in the indy promotions now because they actually interact with the fans. When do you see someone in WWE go out and tell off each and every person in the crowd? Or go out and throw cookies to the whole crowd? Or come out during intermission to talk to the fans and sign autographs? The answer is NEVER!
Indy wrestling is also more wrestling than talking. On television you see a lot of talking and a lot of video packages and less wrestling. On the independent circuit you can pay $10 for a front row ticket and you get to see 9 great matches. Now, don't get me wrong I still enjoy the story side of wrestling but I think that the mainstream, mainly WWE, are getting a little too carried away with it.
Wrestling to me isn't just a show, it's an art. Watching a great wrestling match is like looking at a beautiful painted picture. If it is well put together and easy for me to follow and unpredictable then it is a beautiful match. If it doesn't make sense and I get lost and it is obvious who is going to win (WWE) then why would I bother wanting to keep watching that product?
The action and surprises are the things that keep me coming back for more. Even as a wrestler now I like to go and watch shows or when I am done wrestling I like to go out and watch the action. Not only because I can learn more from watching but because I am still a fan of the game (and I don't mean Triple H.)
