Another Day
I've awakened to another day,
To dwell within the walls of this empty house,
Mirrors, fogged,
Hard to see my reflection
My direction is blurred, I concur
There is no soul.
The coldness here is difficult to bare
The loneliness, lack of care,
How dare they call this my home
Lovelessness, senseless sensations
The vibrations come not from my chest
Low frequency, visitors come to rest
With suspense in my foyer
Forgetting the true purpose of their arrival
The dim, ragged appearance
Is enough to make anyone mad.
Clad in its chipped, painted, way
Tainted by forced entry,
By night thieves.
When will the daylight leave?
Please, take me with you
To the edge of the horizon.
To another day...
