Predicting the end of the world from global warming

The world as we know it is about to end, but it isn't from global warming. It is from the adoption of a world view that suggests that human beings don't have a right to live and prosper, and they don't have the ability to solve the problems of survival and prosperity in a way that will allow for a peaceful and beautiful planet. But that isn't a true picture of mankind.

Mankind is the only species with the ability to confront, interact with, and change nature, but that's not a bad thing, because mankind is quite natural. We are nature's creative force, designed not to combat nature, but to direct it.

The predictions of global warming, and the statistics used to politicize the coming disasters, are products of alarm-ism and sometimes deliberate misinformation. The planet is well-documented to have achieved high temperatures rivaling and surpassing current temperatures within recent centuries. There is substantial evidence that our climate, and our ice-ages, are tied to the shifting center of weight in our solar system, and that the activity of man has nothing to do with it in the big picture.

We have the ability to control pollution, and to create power from readily-available sources. Nuclear science has advanced to the point where we can create fuel from used fuel, and we can create water as a by-product. We can produce urban settings with a high quality of life, surrounded by independent family-run agricultural communities, connected by high-speed maglev networks that reach around the world.

The effect of environmental sanctions against technology and industrialization is to discourage the very activity that can produce peaceful interactions between nations. If we are to understand our weather, then we have to gain perspective from outer space. If we are to produce the peaceful pre-conditions for meaningful colonization in space, then we must devote our minds and our hearts to addressing the needs of the people on the planet, and that means gearing UP production, not shutting it down.

Our denial of technology, and our lack of faith in our ability to manage technology, will lead to even more massive poverty and war. The environmental movement is no friend of the planet Earth. We have to get away from bio-fuels, and dedicate the land to food production. We have to import water to the warm dry climates, and create rain-forests to cool the deserts. We have to empower the middle class to dedicate themselves to future generations, instead of pretending that they
