Expensive acne products are no longer the way to go to get rid of those spots and pimples on your face. Are you aware of the fact that there are many homemade treatments that are pretty cheap and can be bought from the local supermarket, newsagents, pharmacy or local health store? After much research looking at possible cures, I have compiled the following list to help out. They have not been tested by dermatologists, but they have been tried by real people: Me, my siblings and my friends. I have ten treatments that I hope you will enjoy and be happy to have found:
1. Blend green clay (visit a health store) with water and smooth on face. Let it dry and then wash off. The clay will detoxify the skin, remove dirt, oil and impurities that make you more at risk to acne.
2. Mix a cup of sugar and a third cup of cinnamon, mix with water and exfoliate the skin. Follow up with a mild moisturizing cream. Some people say that this treatment really burns, but has worked to clear acne.
3. Mix baking powder and water until it turns into a paste and then pit on the pimple. Let it sit over night and it should dry the pimple and it should drop off (sounds rough but that's what happens)
4. Some people rave about using 10% sulfur soap. Wash a couple times a day using it but if you come up with a red mark or rash, STOP using it.
5. Mix fresh lemon juice with a little bit of water, leave on for about a minute and wash off. Mix up baking soda and water. Exfoliate the face with that mixture. Rinse. Use a bit of witch hazel and then an oil free moisturizer.
6. Put chamomile lotion on your face before bed and leave it on all night. Then wash off in the morning.
7. Mix 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Place on affected area. It will sting, but has worked.
8. Try diaper rash cream. The zinc oxide in the cream has works wonders. The cream is very cheap and will last for months.
9. Mix a tablespoon of yeast with water until it creates a paste. Dab on the pimples before bed. This has been proven to speed up healing and reduce the size of the pimple over night.
10. Many people have said that changing their eating has changed their skin dramatically. Eating more fruits, veggies, protein, drinking water and taking vitamins as well as zinc can help reduce acne breakouts.
If you are going to try these out, ensure that you don't have any allergies to the products that you're going to use and if you have any concerns then go into a pharmacy and talk to someone in there or even mention it to your doctor. Good luck! It's all trial and error, I'm sure there will be something for you.
