What should we do about the inadequate access to safe water and sanitation that claim 4,500 of lives a day?  This situation is a worldwide-unresolved problem. Contaminates, toxins, bacteria, and pesticides that pollute our waters are not only unsafe for drinking, but in several parts of the world unsafe to bathe in.

World Water Day is March 22.  There are simple ways for communities and individuals to get involved with steps to help water resources for us, our children and for the future.  Several groups accept donations for wells and pumps for safe drinking water.

In the 1980’s underground fuel tanks contaminated the water that the Veteran’s affair admits was a direct cause of this illness.  The infected countless ways and people that may have been exposed, taken ill or even died as a result are unknown.

In Santa Barbara County Ca, the town of New Cuyama’s water company periodically sends notices reminding the community of the high toxic levels in their drinking water.  In Camarillo, located in Ventura County, CA you can actually see the clouds in the water straight from the tap!

These are a few examples of first hand information that there is a definite problem with our water resources around
