Autumn leaves changing
The past falls away
Preparing for the winter
The darkening of the days
Winter now consumes me
I take myself to bed
Hide under the blankets
Shake the monsters from my head
Spring is now upon us
A change is in the air
Basking in the sunshine
I hardly have a care
Summer rain cooling
Reminds of change to come
Darkness will fade away
The battle has been won
