It is said that God sees everything, knows everything, and is everywhere in the universe. This means then that God must be Spirit, for only spirit can be in all places at once. God is in everything and everywhere, all at once-in the farthest reaches of the universe, in the light, and in the dark, of any part of the universe. Anywhere we look, anywhere we can imagine and not imagine, God is there.
Such is the nature of God, that there is nowhere in the universe where God cannot be, for God is all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-present. This is the essence of true spirit, and nothing escapes God’s awareness, nothing can, as it is God itself which gives life to all things in the universe. Creating and giving life to all things is God’s business, and anything that gives life must, by nature, be of a positive nature as well. Conversely, anything that takes life is of a negative nature. Therefore, it is obvious that because God gives life, instead of taking it, God is possessed of a positive nature and only that.
A positive nature must of necessity be of a loving nature as well, for a positive nature must, due to its essence, “create” things instead of destroy them. Therefore, what is of a loving nature cannot destroy what it creates, and this is the case with God.
Although there are those who believe that the world will end on day, if indeed it does, it will not be because of God’s doing. The only destructive force in our experience is us, the human race! Because of the need for power and control, and because we have the free will to decide and choose, we possess the power to destroy, and currently, in many ways, we are causing our own self-destruction, through war, pollution, hate, and other things.
Yet, through it all God remains constant: the same and unchangeable as ever; God is “the same yesterday, today and forever! God’s nature is one of constancy, never changing, never vacillating, and never deviating from its loving nature. Because it doesn’t change, we can be certain that God’s nature will forever remain one of love, giving, and creating; for a nature that loves and gives love must, of its very nature, continue to create more and more, out of sheer love!
What is the nature of God? It is love, love, and more love on top of pre-existing love, and though the minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries, ages and eons will in time pass, even after we are long gone, God, will continue to expand the width and span of the universe as it continues to create and become other things yet to come. Across the endless remaining oceans of time God will continue to create other things all across the universe, from one end to the other and back.
Thus God will continue to go about its business of creating different, and novel, creations, for that has been its business from the start, from the beginning of time, and will continue being so forever. For that is the nature of God.
