At first glance, you would not think that BlackSite: Area 51 would be that good of a game. But if you know the past big name games Midway Games have come out with (Mortal Kombat, SpyHunter, Galaga, Pac-Man, Unreal Tournament 3, and many others) you know what to expect. The developers at Midway Games combined with the High Definition next-gen graphics of the PlayStation 3 Blend together extremely well in Blacksite: Area 51.

The storyline starts out with you playing as Captain Aeran Pierce and his squad (consisting of Lieutenant Logan Somers, Corporal Cody Grayson, and Sergeant Mitchell Ambrose), sent into a bunker in Iraq with scientist Noa Weis to investigate a supposed W.M.D. cache. As you get farther into the bunker the squad breaks up. Pierce, Somers, and Weis continue on to where the W.M.D.s are supposedly stashed. Upon arrival there you run into mutated humans that you have to fight off. You find a crystal that was originally part of the evidence that was taken from the Roswell UFO crash site. Your partner Lt. Somers touches the crystal which triggers a horde of the mutants, Somers gets caught by the mutants while Weis rescues you from the horde. Needless to say, Somers doesn't make it out...

Three years later Cpt. Pierce is summoned to a base camp to help control a situation that has broken out in a Nevada town nearby Area 51. There, you're reunited with Weis, who accompanies you into Rachel NV, the infected city. When you arrive in Rachel, you meet back up with the rest of your squad, and find out that Somers is alive, but looks very similar to the mutated people. Somers explains that the military headed up the program to take "undesirables" and mutate them into super soldiers to fight for future wars against other countries. They first started with mutating homeless people and enemies, but eventually led to mutating US soldiers.

So after they take care of the situation in Rachel, they all head back to base camp. Pierce meets with his superior officer to debrief, but before he can mention what has happened with Somers, explosions on base interrupt the debrief. They rush to the science wing to find out that Somers in the leader of the mutants, or Reborn. Somers is Irate at the military for ordering this experiment so he decides to go to Area 51 to rally up comrades to lead an attack on the military and to increase power to the Roswell artifact to bring down the US Military and the US Government.

They arrive at Area 51 to find out that it's too late to
