Poetry: Broken wings

by Stacie Jackson

Created on: March 22, 2010

Fly, fly,

Fly away.

Come and see me,

As I lead the way.

Fly, fly,

Fly away.

Shot down my dreams,

In an awful way.

Fly, fly,

Fly away.

Wish I could,

But now I’m forced to stay.

Fly, fly,

Fly away.

Broken wings,

Keep me trapped here.

Fly, fly,

Fly away.

Nothing left but broken wings,

Nothing left but dreams can sting.
