there is only one thing i have ever wanted

and wondered if i would know when i felt it  

would i know what it means or be defensive

and fail to open up and share my cherished dream  

but i find i am not denying the feelings i found with you

and me this time so unexpected and although frightened

i reached out to you and you saw through my fears  

now instead of tears lingering in my heart

i found laughter and hope abounds  

so we have talked for hours and made love all night

only to find i want more   i never want to conceal this

that i can really feel and know is His response to my final plea  

 that i might find something real and share my heart

with someone so real that i know it came from God

in answer to my simple request to find something

real one time before i die
