Poetry: An angel's wings

by Wanda George

Created on: March 22, 2010

what i needed was guidance

and it came from a stranger

was he an Angel or just a man

who felt the spirit of another soul

reaching out to God but didn't know

there was one in the path of the waves

that would intercept the question

to give such a prompt response

although i am uncertain of the outcome

on the path i travel with anticipation

God's delivery was powerfully effective

and undeniable by this humbled child

regardless of the burdens that are bearing

on me at any given time, i am reminded

that He is ever so close as the river

or the sun and moon, even when

covered by clouds too thick to see

one step at a time by faith, i believe

i must live as a giver, He bestowed

upon me, a gift of compassion for

others who can't see through the

fog on the river or clouds in the sky

it's just that on occasion, as today,

i needed validation of the path that's mine

so i live, forgive and understand, giving

love as i know it, unconditionally Divine
