Poetry: Catharsis

Release

Lost in a world where nothing makes sense,

Everyone's telling you which way to go

It makes you feels tense

Without ever stopping to consider,

Are they right? Are they looking out for me with delight?

The weight of the world feels heavy at times and you wonder, why?

Sometimes nothing makes sense, but then you stop to look at all

The wonders in the world you make a defense.

Sitting in the park, beneath the shade of the trees,

Listening to the birds chirp enjoying life, please…

Watching the children play; the caress of the breeze

Blowing through the trees creates music that some never seem to

Understand, then you finally feel the weight of the world,

Surrender in a calm release.
