PRODUCT REVIEW:  INDOMIE® MI GORENG INSTANT NOODLES

Indomie® is a registered trademark of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk, which at a glance, is a “Total Food Solutions Company” with operations in all stages of food manufacturing and operates through its four strategic business groups: Consumer Branded Products, Bogasari, Agribusiness and Distribution.  The Company is based in Indonesia and its products are distributed throughout the globe. 

PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk ("Indofood") reports in their press release for the nine month period ending September 30, 2009 consolidated net sales of .62 trillion USD and is the world's largest instant noodle manufacturer.  Indomie's belief of corporate responsibility through Indofood is also actively involved with the Indonesian and international communities and was the proud provider of tens of thousands of servings of noodles to displaced peoples post the September and October 2009 earthquakes that both registered in excess of 7.0 on the Richter Scale in the areas of West Java, West Sumatra and Jambi.

The Indomie trademark and brand is well-known throughout the globe for Indofood’s product lines of instant noodles and has been a household brand for over two decades.  "Mie Goreng" also known as "Mi Goreng" (which literally means “fried noodles” in Indonesian) is a famous dish in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, and today, all over the world. Mi Goreng is typically made with thin yellow noodles fried with garlic, onion or shallots, fried prawn, chicken, beef, sliced meatballs, chili, vegetables, tomatoes, egg, and pickles.  Indomie® Mi Goreng is a soup less instant noodle that is similar to the traditional Mi Goreng and is the result (as many other packaged foods are) of industrialization.  Indomie Goreng (aka Indomie® Mi Goreng) is Indomie’s best-selling product line which entered the market in 1982 and today comes in the following flavors after a redesign of the packaging launched on January 3, 2010:
