Undone
She felt it coming all undone,
Everything they'd fixed
From where they'd come
Until this new day.
Emotions jumbled up and mixed.
From the day she first went there
She'd had a feeling - safe, secure,
Hoping she could learn from where
The troubles came.
There would be help, she was sure.
Memories kept from years ago,
She confided them all,
He'd wanted to know.
She trusted, believed that he'd
Not let her fall.
And never did he let her down
Her fears were eased,
Life turned around.
She'd never know how to thank him
For helping her to... breathe.
All the work, and all the pain,
All of nearly everything. One spring...
They talked about the rain.
It gave her joy,
It made her... sing!
The highest of highs
And the lowest of lows...
Despite her stubborn, stifled cries
He got her through
Things no one knows.
Years, many, nearly four.
Then one day, out of the blue,
There would be no more.
They'd say good-bye,
Or perhaps, "adieu."
That one last time
She climbed his stairs.
Dazed, and sadly too aware
she'd now be walking all alone
On puzzling pathways only hers.
Had it now come all undone?
Should ending have been a little slower?
Should've waited and learned how
To let it go if the work was over.
And who would she confide in... now?

Coming Undone
I knew it couldn't be perfect forever
But I didn’t think we’d settle for this
Have you forgotten
Completely Undone
Excuse my tears
Drenching the paper,
It's just my fears
Gathering pain into vapor.
It's just a thought,
But
Some might say life has a way
of messing everything up
from the disenchanted delusions of success
to the promise of true love
Undone
She felt it coming all undone,
Everything they'd fixed
From where they'd come
Until this new day.
Emotions jumbled
Can every spoken word
be taken back and be undone?
Can I tip-toe across the room
and lay my beating heart
against your one?
Can
