Love, for me, is not a shallow thing,
Not a pool of water you can see to the bottom of.
It is the depths of the ocean
And like the ocean,
it pulls me down
time and again
to the deep darkness
where my feelings lie,
a riptide that wil not let me go
an endless drowning
a place where all that could have been
is washed with my tears
