Why does this celebrity affair provoke so much anger in people? Certainly by now we are used to hearing about adultery amongst celebrities and politicians. Usually, we are not surprised and we go about our daily lives feeling unaffected by it all.

The reason that the news of Jesse James cheating on recent best actress winner Sandra Bullock has caused outrage is because Sandra Bullock is a very likable celebrity. At 45 years old, she finally seemed to have it all. A husband that she openly adored and recognition for her acting skills. Sandra Bullock appeals to men and women which is a somewhat unique thing to do.

Although no one really knows what goes on behind closed doors in their home, the idea that a woman has come out and claimed to have had an affair with Jesse James while his wife was on location shooting the movie that eventually won her an Oscar is disgusting in itself. Even if it is true that she and Jesse James had an affair, why was it necessary for her to shout it out to the world?

I take offense to these women who sleep with married men and act innocent about it. She claims Jesse James told her that they were separated. Separated or not, that still makes him married. Is there such a lack of single men in this world that women need to have affairs with married men? I think not. I think that this woman was looking at the big picture. Sleep with a celebrity's husband and down the road it could mean getting 15 minutes of fame and possibly earn some money for your illicit affair.

Being a celebrity means giving up some privacy that you and I might take for granted being regular people. But as regular people, many of us looked at Sandra Bullock's alleged happy ending and feeling like there is hope for an older woman to finally find a good man. It saddens us to see that because of this alleged affair, Sandra Bullock is not getting her happily ever after due to a husband who is not worthy of her and a low-life slut who has no morals.

Can Sandra Bullock and Jesse James repair the damage caused by these revelations of infidelity? Who really knows. Some relationships can survive affairs. A celebrity marriage that is under a microscope has a greater chance of not being able to survive thanks to the media coverage of all the intimate details thanks to the woman who because she is totally immoral thinks nothing of sharing these details with the world.

If Sandra Bullock is like any other married woman who has found out that her husband betrayed her, she is experiencing a lot of pain and humiliation. It is sad that her humiliation and pain cannot be dealt with privately but that is the price of celebrity.
