Well...religion is what I stay away from the most. Reason, too many peoples have killed and been killed over such subjects. But what I believe is really no one else's business. I firmly believe that Jesus is lord and no one can change that belief that I have. But that doesn't give me the right to go and kill other people over such a belief as mine. I am not a prophet or a person that preaches to thousands about the infidelity of the world. Its not for me to cast judgement on others and tell them they are wrong. That is for God himself to do for he will judge the world by his word.
When it comes to the idea of religion, it was created by man and man alone. The Catholic church started thousands of years ago by a group of men that decided that's what God wants for the so called Christians to do. But God chooses man not man choosing God. But the flip side to that when God chooses a man the man will follow exactly along with the bible and not falter. Not even one word for God will back him though the word. Man decided that certain places are holy not God which causes problems. But that started before any of us were born and as we grew up we started to think like our fathers. According to the bible there is no place on earth holy or sacred. 1 John 2, "15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."KJV. If you follow the Christian faith how can you not believe all the word.
Jesus died out of love for the world, Jesus is God. So how can God invent religion when religion is so stained by the blood of martyrs. When the Spanish Catholics took Mexico, the people in charge killed thousands of Indians for not converting to the "faith". This is a known fact even when the Luthers, Weaslys and other reformers came to help the people better understand the mercy of God the others parts of the faith killed them for heresy. Why, because of a man's doctrine made by a group of Christians that had good intentions but others that followed twisted the rules. Twisting the rules to suit their wants and misled needs.
Don't misunderstand me, I am not saying the people who serve these religions are not good. People that join religion do join to be bad people, they join to become better people. Its just how can a religion and or a denomination tell you what to do with you life better then just ready the bible and walking by faith, speaking to the christians. Some people might not like what I say but in conclusion, how can God be behind so much hate when he created this world and us out of love? How could he when he gave his only begotten son, his blood to save us out of love. God is not of hated, lies and deceit. God only needs one man completely turned over to him out from under any organization. Completely in his hands. So, I don't think he created religion, man did.

In a universe created and ruled, it is believed, solely by God, there is no need for religion-for God is the only reality
The answer to this question is an emphatic NO! God did not invent any religion. He did not need a religion to make creation
God did not invent religion and God did not invent the church. He has no need for either one.
