The secret lives of military wives, the stuff they don't tell you.
First off, not one tells you when you when you get married to a member of the Armed Forces is that you have to make everything ok, even when it isn't. Put on that happy face and keep your life and your family together. No they never tell you, that one day your children will way bye to Daddy and not understand that he will be gone a year or longer.
Secondly, and this is one of the ones I wish someone would have told me about way back when, that keeping your distance from people that you are sure about is a good idea. I have had some friends that are way out there and having troubles that I could not fix for them. Not only could I not fix them but I should have never even been involved in the first place.
Third, this one goes along with the second one but it is important enough to warrant it's on line. If you do make friends make sure they are the type of people you want to have. I have had several "friends" with very different values than I have or that I have for my family.
Forth, never be ashamed to use coupons. Now this may seem funny but I still to this day know people who are embarrassed to use coupons. They save money and when your a military family you really need to save what you can when you can. Because somewhere down the way you will need it for something. Use coupons and military discounts when you can.
Fifth, and this will be my final one for this article, I will post more when I get time, there are actually so many that I could write a book. Make sure to have you time. It has taken me a long time to understand what you time is, but you need to take at least an hour out of each day for you. If you have to wait until everyone is asleep or it is nap time or even if you have to get up before anyone else to fit it in. Make time for yourself.
I know there are many more subjects they should be touched on, I will post more articles are this subject along with many ways that money can be saved and earned with little to no real effort.
