Strength is not steel.
Strength is not loud.
It is silent and soft.
It works where no one can see and performs miracles without recognition.
Strength is the single mother working eight hours a day on her feet after two hours sleep.
Strength is the tears of a mother who just lost her son in a war far away.
Strength is the father who holds a dying daughter who fought cancer until a light called her name.
It halts the madness that comes after grief tears it's ugly way in.
It is in the Congo where women still suffer at the hand of madmen who prosper in sin.
It is in the coal mine with a great Dad with black lungs.
Strength is in us one and all.
Strength is what comes just before we fall.
Strength is God's answer and gives us hope to get up and crawl.
