America is born out of war, the American War of Independence. It continues with a tradition of interference with the affairs of other nations, playing one against the other detrimental to its interests.  

It is a country with staggering multitudes of people belonging to all nations of the world. Many of them find the country most satisfying and living conditions are one of the best in the world. They haven’t yet developed a sense of national pride and patriotism or a sense of belonging to the nation.

In a healthy democracy, media has a role to play. It should contribute to the welfare of the community as a whole not to indulge in malefiding others for a certain period and make people forget about it. They create sensational news and bring panic among people.

American media is more analytical and open and enjoys the freedom with a restraint keeping in view the national interest. Politicians are employees of the people as they are the de jure masters. Once elected they act as if they are not accountable to anyone. This is the tragedy.

American Presidents conducted themselves with dignity both republicans and democrats. But they didn’t give peace a chance unfortunately! Far East was once their obsession and now the Middle East, slowly it is South Asia.

If their resources are diverted towards building reservoirs for people in countries where there is no drinking water, creating a ministry for Emergency Management in countries to keep thirst, hunger and disease  out.
I don’t agree that politicians are spineless and it is the people who have hidden their spines in their flesh.

They have no role to play once the elections are over. They have just time to earn bread for the families and they have to work hard. In the weekends they relax and not enough time to think of senators or the country.  America will not disappear. On the contrary America is a power to reckon with.

The very fact that the people have shown their universal approach by electing a nonwhite as the President of the nation speaks volumes of their approach to recognize merit. This is just the beginning. The President is trying to bring a change in the social, political and economic fabric of the society. He is trying to keep his election promises.  

The Republicans should extend their whole hearted support to him as he is moving in the right direction. They should cooperate in building the nation.
President Obama should observe caution while framing
