Poetry: Forgive me

by Elvina C.

Created on: March 18, 2010

One mistake for eternity,
Tears washed away your memory.
Forgiveness I will pray,
Before you'll walk away.

Blinded by madness,
Love shattered between my fingers.
"I'm sorry,"I'll say a million times.
My reasons shall never cover my crimes.
Even the tears shall blind my eyes,
And the voice of apology shall mute my cries;
The faults had made just by me.
As I'm down on my knees like you used to be.
I'm sorry for what I became.
Wherever I go, I shall carry this shame.

I'm never an angel,
Who broke your heart of fragile...
I'll take any of my punishments,
As soon as you've made your judgments.
I've been a denial to my happiness,
Even I've shown the forgiveness.

All at once,
I've destroyed the fun.
Through the dark I still fought.
Counting still, the shame I've brought.
I never meant to break your tears.
As it became my very fear.

"I still have a lot for you, of myself to give.
Only if you could show me how to forgive."

Forget not the words you've said to me.
I shall remember your sweetest gift.
It is now I to return the words from the sea.

"Please, forgive me," I shall always plea.
