My Beautiful Daughter
It seems as if it was only yesterday you came into this world
And in that moment, I was changed forever
It was the most amazing thing to ever happen in my life
There you were with your perfect little fingers, perfect little toes and to top it off your perfect little nose
A little part of me, a little part of your mom
A creation of the love we shared
You made my heart soar with hopes, and dreams for your life
It filled me with joy that to know I would be there to watch you grow
It seems as if it was just last night I watched you crawling across the floor,
And then suddenly you were up taking those first shaky steps into my waiting arms
It was Thanksgiving and no one in the world was more thankful than I
To be able to share that moment with you
I watched you grow, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day
You were the world to me, my beautiful little girl
You were a fearless little one,
You would just laugh and squeal in delight when I would throw you high into the air
Only to gently catch you in my loving arms
and it was always more! more! more!
You have always brought happiness to all those you touch
And like a flower that has yet to bloom your greatest beauty lies within
It seems as if it was just this morning I took the training wheels off your little bike, we strapped on your helmet
And you bravely tried to ride on two wheels
I ran beside you holding you up as you gained your balance, and confidence
Before long you were on your way, zipping around the neighborhood on your own
Your smile made my day and to this day it still does!
I remember the day I thought I had lost you, I ran as fast as I could to find you
There you were battered and bruised, but at least you were crying
I thanked God you were alive, I kissed your little head, I have never been more afraid in my life
In that moment I also had never been happier, you were still with me
As you grew, I watched as you run up, and down the soccer fields
Your spirit and determination made me so proud
I remember the mornings waking your sleepy head so you wouldn’t be late for school
And when you got home, I would cook you what you said was the worlds best grilled cheese,
I remember so many things. How could I ever forget
I so cherish these memories
It seems like only this afternoon I told you my darkest secret, and we cried together
You said you understood, you said you loved me no matter
It broke my heart to walk out that door
My heart has never healed from that wound
Things would never be the same again
So forgive me if I cry
I am just so proud of you, and I love you so much
It has been you, and only you that has kept me here
And though you now though no longer need me, you know I am always here for you
So my little angel spread you wings and fly as high as you can
Live your dreams
And know I will always love you, my beautiful girl.

I Love you Mom
As he walked out the door I asked,
"Where is my kiss?"
He gave me a look only a 6

For a brief
by Lynda Ross
He lives as gently as he can,
And thru it all he is a man.
Thru all the time that's good or ill,
With faith and love, he comes
I tried, but my gentle hand failed my heart
To write of you is a beauty left untouched
My wit is dull ~ and your face an Art

"The Promise"
What words do I write
To tell the world
What my child means to me
Without a pen in hand
I began to write
You're an angel in disguise
At least you are to me
You've turned our little home
Into a precious family
I know that there are
