“You have got to be kidding me. Don’t you have any sense of fashion?” Jordyn looked up from her book as she saw her friends walking over, laughter and skepticism on their face. Amber was holding the note that she had passed her in class. Usually it wasn’t a good idea to get Amber’s attention, but she had seemed in a good enough mood until she saw what Jordyn was wearing.
“These clothes are comfy. I don’t think their much of a problem.”
“Those colors are painful to see together. Its worth dropping the comfy deal.”
Sighing, Jordyn changed the subject. “You got my note. What do you know about Damian?” The note had been written right after the science fair assignments. This was how it read:

It wasn’t like her and her group of friends. They picked on her all the time…
On the other side of the playground, Damian couldn’t have disagreed more. He always dreaded recess break because of that stupid athlete. Caiden was the most popular boy in the grade. His hair was the color of nutmeg, but it was the tanned fists that he usually had to worry about. It seemed nobody really cared what Caiden and his group of bullies did. They just stood around, not doing anything, ignoring the bruises he would have the next day.
Damian snapped out of his reverie as the crunch of the wood chips announced Caiden’s
