Guide to Crochet Magazines

Crocheting is a hobby that is fast becoming a practice used by younger generations, not just the older generation. Crochet lovers are different breeds from the rest. Many are not comfortable with using exact patterns that they have thoroughly grasped continuously. Most want to try more; they want new different patterns and to venture widely into the crochet world. There are loads of basic household products that can be crocheted. Creativity booms in the crochet world and those who crochet need inspiration.

Crochet magazine junkies are common in the crochet world. Many recommended magazines have inspiring new patterns and the traditional patterns we assumed were lost long ago, forgotten and disappeared. They can all be discovered again with crochet magazines.

Here is a list of some magazines. First on the list is “Crochet World”. “Crochet world” is published about six times every year. It explores basic beginner skills and then moves on to intermediate levels, something which would be ideal for those just setting out and working their way up. For doily patterns this magazine is a winner. It also includes Afghan pattern, doll and baby clothing .The magazine sponsors’ two contests for crocheting each year and it has a section of pen pal. The magazine provides a knowledge wealth base for readers.

“Quick and easy crochet” magazine is defined by the title. These are beginner patterns and work quickly. It is a good channel for success for beginners in a short period of time. While building skills it also provides pattern reading practice and the patterns are quite easy to locate. It is released six times yearly.

“Simply creative crochet” is another publication released once a year by “Better homes and Gardens” .The magazine covers all crochets levels. The instructions and patterns are placed at the back and not difficult to find.

“Crochet” magazine is another good clothing and home décor option for magazine specialty patterns with a good trendy and traditional pattern mixture .It is published six times yearly.

The next  magazine especially for social crafting  is “Interweave crochet” magazine .It is inclusive of information related to social networks, conventions, and clubs, it has detailed, clear illustrations.

The best place to start exploring various magazines on offer is the local library where you can being to carefully peruse which magazine you prefer and are willing to engage with on a long term basis and begin a subscription.
