Benefits of training for both the organizations and employees

The application of training is one of the most critical processes that are necessary for organizations to function effectively as a going concerns, as they generate revenues, and retain the services of their most valued employees. It is the means by which information is transmitted to employees, to positively enhance the productivity and profitability of organizations.

However, in order for it to be beneficial to both the organizations and the employees at the same time, there has to be chemistry between the trainers, the employees, the training methods and its frequencies, the purposes of the trainings, and the impacts they are having on the trainees, and the quality goods and services provided.

The trainers or instructors must be experienced, knowledgeable on the subject matter, and possess excellent communication skills, while the trainees must be carefully chosen, so that they can absorb, retain, and apply the information relayed to them while on the jobs. The training method should be of such that it will stimulate learning, and maintain interest throughout, and relevant to the jobs to be done, thereby preventing thousands of dollars to annually go down the drain. They should be evaluated periodically, to determine if the frequencies are effective, and whether they have been positively impacting on the overall productivity of the organization, so that adjustments can be made to ensure progress and continuity.

Once these parameters are in place and functional, training then will significantly benefit both the organization and its employees in many ways.

Standards that are set by the companies to achieve their goals and objectives, can be maintained by effective and timely trainings, and employees can then be objectively evaluated and promoted , demoted , retrained, fired , or remain positionally in their jobs.

In this way, the companies are able to remove employees who are liabilities to the efficiencies of their operations, as well as advance those who will ensure its continued success. The morale of employees, who are promoted as well as those who are being adequately paid base on their performances, will then be excellent, and this will in turn serve to motivate others, to strive to achieve what was achieved.

In a highly motivational atmosphere, the productivity of organizations may even increase synergistically, causing exponential growth in profit, market domination, and sharp competitive edges. In the case of multinationals, this can be overwhelming in effect, because training success in one area can be replicated in several other areas, subjected to cultural and other modifications.

Well trained workers, who are promoted, may also be able to secure security of tenure for their jobs, and thus be able to provide all the basic needs for their families, especially in the areas of protection, housings and education.

Companies and their employees then stand to mutually benefit in the future, when these children complete their education and becomes employable. They may feel loyal to the organizations their fathers and mothers have worked for, and seek to maintain the traditions, thereby contributing to organizational sustainability.

Employees, that are constantly attaining their personal goals, may become highly motivated, and developed into critical training core groups for their organizations, and may be able to train hundreds of others, much like a university within the workplace. This will enable the skills levels to rise appreciable in organizations, and will lead to significant reductions in accidents, delays, and other types of inefficiencies. The company will also benefit from the sum total of their loyalty, commitment, punctuality, and general stability, use it to establish other companies in different states and countries- thereby increasing its profitability by leaps and bounds.

Knowledge is power according, to Francis Bacon, and a train set of workers can become so empowered, that they are constantly able to identify areas of weaknesses in organizations, and introduce systems, equipment, or processes that will not only affect the company at a local level, but has enormous global consequences, to the extent that another set of industries have to be created, to respond the high rising demands.

The benefits in case like these, can be very astronomical to say the least, but will impact mutually upon both organizations, employees, and the very community where they operate from. Training in this way, then can be regarded as investments, for organizations that will constantly ignored the costs of the present, and looked at the long term effects, where their efforts will always be significantly rewarded.

Discrimination can also be reduced in some organizations, when all employees are subjected to the same level of training, and then promoted or demoted base on their performances, rather than the use of hidden variables. Employees fired from such organizations will be less likely to fire lawsuits, because they have been objectively appraised, thereby preventing the prospect of millions of dollars being paid for acts of discrimination among leaders. Lawsuits can lead to the closure of organizations, due to the magnitude of the suit.

Training therefore should be regarded as the lifeblood of every organization, intent on facing the competitive world and surviving despite the difficulties. A well trained team of workers may make the difference between the continued existence of any company, the provisions of excellent goods and services, a stable working environment, or an industrial estate looking like a ghost town, after decades of performances that were below par.
