What is existence? Existence is the world of which we are aware through our senses and persists independently without them. In philosophy existence has a more complicated meaning than just being aware of the world around us, to completely understand why we exist we must travel back in time and understand what made us think and act the way we did which in terms led to modern day man. History holds man secrets that may never be explained but it also holds vasts amounts of information that we can explain and that we can decipher and by using these techniques we can have a better understanding in why we exist.
Our existence and what our purpose is has plagued great philosophers and academic philosophers for over a millennium. We always seem to ask ourselves the same unanswered questions. "Why are we here" "Where did we come from" These questions have not only plagued us for centuries but ancient civilizations thousands of years ago were asking the same questions. Religions were formed to help answer these questions, science has studied and documented various phenomena to create a database of information to help decode this riddle that never seems to have an answer.
It seems as if the more we understand the more we thrive to understand more, we base our existence on what we can see, hear, smell, taste and touch, and from these senses we create a massive database of knowledge to interpret the reality we can physically and mentally perceive. As we learn more and understand more, we are faced with new and growing problems that need to be answered before we can continue to unlock the mystery of why we exist.
In academic philosophy the understanding that each individual has their own purpose, each person has a reason to exist unique to all whom lived before them and to all that will live after them has given new meanings to what we once knew about existence. We interact and change the world without being aware, leaders make decisions that alter the present and the future, and each individual has their own goals and ambitions in life that could potentially change what we call reality. Being alive is about learning and experiencing the world around us, evolving mentally and creating our dreams and desires, turning them from fiction into reality.
The reason we exist may not be one reason, but a combination of several reasons, firstly we must reproduce for our existence to actually be a part of reality, without reproduction we would seize to exist, but reproduction
