What good SEO can do for a business

The SEO process is key to a website’s business.  High traffic to your business through organic SEO will maximize your business visibility on the Internet and keep the costs down by avoiding artificial (through paid results).

Spending time through do it yourself SEO and learning SEO is a cost saver, but could mean time your business stays away from the top of Google’s search engine results page. Determining whether you will learn SEO on your own to increase page rank (PR) and drive your business to the top of searches, or whether hiring an SEO expert at a hefty price is up to you. Regardless, good SEO is priority for any Internet business, blogs, or websites that want to create traffic.

Building the right list of keywords for your business through the SEO process could mean the difference between receiving 40% of organic search traffic to receiving nothing at all. It is believed that if your website is #1 in Google’s SERP for that search word or phrase, you 40% will click on that first link!

This means you will receive the majority of traffic from that organic search. This is a huge difference in being #2, #3, or within the top 20 results on the SERP.

Content is king in the world of websites – but quality content without SEO might mean the difference between the top 10 on the SERP and the top 100! Adding an SEO process to quality content to your Internet business will help your website climb both in PR and on the SERP.

But what is ‘good SEO’ and what is ‘bad SEO’. Good SEO is the process of having a presentable, user friendly website with quality content where the right keywords drive the website to the top of the SERP.

The right keywords are those that will be highly searched, which drives organic traffic to the website, and against low competition. The art of finding these keywords takes time and research.

A website who maximizes their visibility through good SEO will have not one, but hundreds of keywords strategically positioned within the website within quality content, tags, internal and internal and external links.

To have a viable page rank, the information found in the website needs to keep the user’s interest where they drive deeper in through internal links. Having traffic come from other related websites of quality can also build page rankings.  Having a balance of external and internal links will drive the website’s page rank higher, and if that website is #1 on the SERP, it will receive the majority of traffic through specific organic search words and phrases.

Building a good SEO campaign for website is key to it’s success on the World Wide Web.  If the goal is to maximize awareness because it maximizes profit/sales, page views, etc., then a good SEO process should be top priority for website.
