Lush, based in Canada, is a holistic body care product company. They create, mostly by hand, luscious, indulgent items that are also good for you. Creams, soaps, hair and skin emollients are just a few of Lush's splurge-worthy treats. The people behind Lush work to make sure all ingredients used are of the highest quality, natural, organic when possible, and fairly traded.
The Lush line of bubble bars are solid chunks of bubble bath soap. You can crack off and use as little as you wish, to make light suds. Or if you feel like spoiling yourself, using a whole bubble bar will make the tub fill with creamy bubbles. You will feel like a little kid as the bubbles mound up high around you. Lush changes its line up of products regularly, but a few bubble bars seem to be all-stars. These are my personal favorites; they have specific scents and effects and never upset my sensitive skin. I can recommend:
Bathos-is a lovely purple colored bar that smells like violets. Not overwhelming, it has a calming effect when inhaled. Men can use this bubble bar as well s women, the aroma that lingers on the skin is fresh but not "girly".
Blue Sky and White Puffy Clouds-this is a massive, blue and white swirled bar that can be used for 2 or 3 baths. It smells like incense, but not cloying or strong. Frankincense and patchouli are the main aromas. It has the effect of extreme relaxation. You do feel like you are gazing up at a summer sky.
Amandopondo-is a white cake topped with a real dried rosebud. It is a refreshing scent of oranges, lemons and roses and the bubbles are particularly creamy. It is romantically-themed, for a bath prior to a night out. But I really like the crisp feeling of the aroma-it perks me up.
Flosty Gritter-Lush has a penchant for silly names and "Flosty" is a play on Frosty Glitter. Pink iridescent sparkles cover this bar. And after you use it, you will be glittery as well. Your loved ones will pick up a bit of glitter on their skin from hugging you. If you or your housemates have a serious meeting during the day, save this bar for after. The heavenly scent of vanilla and lavender make you feel cheerful.
Finally, Karma. The signature Lush scent in a bubble bar. It's orange. It smells slightly exotic and Eastern, but with oranges and something sweet. It smells wonderful on men or women, and the scent slightly clings to the skin all day. This is the bar for a rich, luscious bath.
Lush is an indulgence that is good for you. The scent of the bath is aromatherapy. The oils and herbs in the soaps are good for your skin. The act of taking time for yourself is nurturing and stress-relieving. Lush's line of bubble bars is a cost-effective treat that makes you feel pampered.
