Discussing money and ethics

Money is said to be the root of all evil.

This statement is true in many sense. Money is not the overpowering factor in any circumstances or situation. It is we, human beings, that need to be the controlling figure.
I like the idea that we must be master over money and not vice versa. The problems often surfaced because we are not mastering money but rather being consumed by greed for it. The question arises today is how can we master money.

There must be life values in us today. If we want to be financially successful and reputable, we must instill values into our life. Remember, a man is valued by not what he thinks of himself but rather what others think of him. Let money be the instrument for us to utilize and not the crown on our head. An unsatisfied person will always feel that he do not have enough money. True, money is never enough not because it is not enough. It is just that we are never satisfied.

In the handling of money, whether in personal capacity or business, one must be ethical. Honesty will go a long way in life. The pursuit of money must be replaced by the pursuit for financial freedom or being debt free. If our mind is set on the right focus, then, we would be using money as a tool and not being abused by it.

In conclusion, we should work towards the right goal in life. Let us learn to be debt free first. Once, we are debt free, then the greed for money will be lessen and slowly diminish. Remember, we cannot take any of it to the other world.
