Poetry: Love's anguish

by Curiositie Abounds

Created on: March 14, 2010

the depth of your darkness

surrounds me like a fog.

the intensity of your betrayal

cuts through me like molten rocks.

breath is no longer welcome as

my body rejects the pain.

if this is all that love can bring

then i'll gladly do without.

it is a far better thing to be alone

than to tremble in heart and soul.
