The Dawn of Self
Our lives, like the cycle of day and night follow a timeless pattern,
For many we spend our waking moments in the bright of the light,
Others spend those moments in the darkness,
But each of us does indeed have a day and night within,
We are conceived in darkness, and our soul brings us into the light
Some it seems are blinded by the brightness of the light,
They deny the darkness of conception, Feeling afraid of that part of self
For what secret does the darkness hold, what part of the self hides in those shadows
One can try and deny this existence, but in doing so we cause a wound of duality to fester within.
For those that spend their time in darkness, they fear the light for what will it expose,
What will they discover in the light, about the self,
What will happen when we finally expose those secrets of the darkness to the light?
No longer living in denial, but finally acknowledging its existence,
It is then we begin to heal,
Our duality ends.
Standing in the darkness before dawn we can see the light begin to emerge on the horizon
In the light of the dawn
There are no shadows, and there is no blindness
We can see clearly the beauty of the creation
The darkness and the light becoming one, as we awaken to the dawn of self.

Poetry: Dawn
by Tara Shelby
Standing here on the cliff of my childhood home,
My toes hidden in the dew of well established grass,
Holding on to the tiny
Dawn is the time of day most of us forget.
We sleep, tired from the night,
as the sun climbs higher in the sky,
waking grumpily
by Edward Earl
The birth of light from dark of night,
Dawn breaks forth from its shadowed tomb;
Hope abounding and all is right,
Love
THE DAWN
Reluctantly the mists awaken,
stretching from their velvet dreams.
Although their veils of silken silence
The morning chorus echoes,
In the dreamy mists.
Waking from its peaceful slumber,
In its beauty glowing.
Dewdrops conjure
